Wat is een wormwieloverbrenging en hoe werkt deze?
Een wormwieloverbrenging, ook wel wormwielreductor genoemd, is een mechanisch apparaat dat wordt gebruikt om rotatiebeweging en koppel over te brengen tussen niet-parallelle assen. Het bestaat uit een wormschroef en een wormwiel, die beide spiraalvormige tanden hebben. De wormschroef lijkt op een cilinder met schroefdraad, terwijl het wormwiel een tandwiel is met tanden die in de wormschroef grijpen.
