Description
EP-NMRV130 Flagship Heavy-Duty Aluminium Worm Reducer – Product Overview
The EP-NMRV130 is the largest and most powerful unit in the NMRV aluminium worm reducer series – delivering up to 1596 Nm output torque from input powers up to 9.2 kW. At 48 kg, it represents a significant weight saving over the 70+ kg cast iron equivalents at this torque level, making overhead, wall-mount, and remote-site installations substantially more practical. The 130 mm centre distance and Ø45 mm output shaft handle the heaviest conveyor drives, large industrial agitators, and construction equipment mechanisms in the NMRV range. IEC frames 80 to 210 connect directly. Compatible with PC090 helical pre-stage for extended ratios. Also serves as output stage for NMRV063/130 double-stage combinations reaching 5000:1 with output torques up to 2430 Nm – the highest torque achievable in the entire NMRV aluminium range.

✓ Core Features and Benefits
The highest torque available in the entire NMRV aluminium series. Competes directly with cast iron reducers at this performance level – at 30% less weight.
Accepts the largest standard IEC motors directly via B5 or B14 flange for input powers up to 9.2 kW. The complete heavy-industrial motor range in one aluminium housing.
30% lighter than the cast iron equivalent. Enables overhead and wall-mount installation at heavy-duty torque levels without the structural reinforcement that 70+ kg cast iron requires.
NMRV063 as pre-stage plus NMRV130 as output reaches extreme ratios with output torques up to 2430 Nm – the highest double-stage torque in the entire NMRV range.
⚙ Industry Applications

Auxiliary drives for construction hoists, crane traversal mechanisms, and concrete plant equipment. 1596 Nm handles heavy mechanical loads. 48 kg enables mobile equipment installation.
Main drives for loaded belt conveyors in mining, quarrying, recycling, and timber processing. 130 mm centre distance handles sustained high-torque running at industrial speeds.
Industrial mixing drives for chemical reactors, water treatment clarifiers, and mineral processing vessels. Ø45 output matches heavy agitator coupling bore sizes.
Main drives for palletisers, heavy indexing platforms, industrial gate actuators, and dam sluice mechanisms requiring torques above 900 Nm in continuous service.
⚙ Selection Guide and Mounting Positions
The NMRV130 covers output torque from 334 Nm to 1596 Nm at input powers up to 9.2 kW. This is the largest NMRV frame available. For torques above 1596 Nm in aluminium, use the NMRV063/130 double-stage combination delivering up to 2430 Nm. For even higher torques, transition to the Ever Power WP cast iron worm reducer series.
| Position | Code | Oil Note |

| Inverted | B8 | Increased fill |
| Vertical up | V5 | Reduced fill |
| Vertical down | V6 | Maximum fill |
| Wall-mount L/R | B6/B7 | Per mounting chart |

⚖ Aluminium vs Cast Iron – Flagship Size Comparison
At the 130 mm flagship size, aluminium worm reducers save over 20 kg compared to cast iron. This weight difference directly impacts structural steel requirements for elevated mounting, overhead installation, and mobile equipment applications.
| Feature | Aluminium NMRV | Cast Iron |
|---|---|---|
| Weight | 30-50% lighter | Heavier |
| Corrosion | Excellent | Poor |
| Heat Dissipation | Superior | Moderate |
| Cost | Lower | Higher |
| Noise | Low | Moderate |
| IEC Motor | Direct B5/B14 | Adaptor often needed |
