WPDZ D+Z Vessel-Top Cast Iron Worm Reducer — Product Overview
Vessel-top drive applications in food processing, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries impose three requirements simultaneously: mount directly to the vessel nozzle without a floor frame, connect the motor without an adaptor plate, and enable worm wheel inspection without vessel shutdown or motor removal. The WPDZ meets all three.
The Z-type circular flange bolts directly to the vessel nozzle. The IEC motor flange accepts the motor directly overhead without an adaptor. The D-type split housing opens for worm wheel inspection with both motor and vessel connections intact. Seven sizes from 50–135 mm centre distance cover the full range of standard process vessel drive torque requirements from 6 Nm to 690 Nm.

■ Z-Type Flange Mount — Vessel Nozzle Direct
Circular flange housing bolts to vessel nozzle, column, or custom flanged frame. No floor frame, no pedestal, no flat base surface required — essential for vessel-top installations.
■ IEC Motor Flange — Motor Bolts Direct Overhead
Integrated IEC flange eliminates the motor adaptor plate. Motor connects in four bolts from above — the standard overhead motor arrangement for vessel-top drives.
■ D-Type Split Housing — In-Situ Maintenance on Vessel
Remove the housing cover while the IEC motor stays connected and the Z-flange stays bolted to the vessel. Worm wheel inspection and replacement in-situ during standard maintenance windows.
■ Rotatable Output Shaft Direction
The Z-type circular flange allows housing rotation before bolt tightening — directing the horizontal output shaft toward any required direction without angular adapter hardware.
