WPEDX Double Speed Cast Iron Worm Reducer — Product Overview
Ceiling-mounted slow-speed drive applications require extreme ratio reduction, direct motor mounting, and maintenance access in-position simultaneously. The WPEDX provides all four: the IEC motor flange eliminates the adaptor plate, the X-type output shaft points downward for the driven equipment below, the D-split cover opens in the ceiling-mount position for worm wheel inspection, and the dual worm stages achieve ratios from 1/200 to 1/900+.

■ IEC Flange + X Downward + D-Split + Double Stage — Complete Inverted Motorised Drive
The WPEDX delivers four functions simultaneously: direct IEC motor mount (no adaptor), X-type vertical downward output, D-split in-situ maintenance cover access, and two-stage extreme ratio reduction — the complete solution for motorised ceiling-mount ultra-slow drives.
■ D-Split Housing — Ceiling-Position Worm Wheel Access
Remove the housing cover in the inverted ceiling-mount position without disturbing motor or output shaft connections. Both worm stage chambers are accessible in-situ for planned maintenance.
■ Output Torque to 9,066 Nm — D+X Does Not Reduce Capacity
WPEDX worm gear internals are identical to WPEDA. D+X configuration affects mounting and output direction only — torque capacity is unchanged.
■ IEC 72-1 Flange — Direct Motor Mount on Ceiling Structure
Motor bolts on in four bolts in the inverted ceiling-mount position. IEC flange accuracy ensures permanent motor-reducer alignment even in sustained inverted load conditions.
■ Independent Oil Chambers for X-Type Inverted Orientation
Both chambers use X-type adjusted oil volumes from the WPEDX lubrication table. Independent fill, gauge, and drain for each stage.
■ FC20+ Dual-Chamber Cast Iron — Inverted Structural Stability
FC20+ grey cast iron maintains dimensional stability under sustained inverted mounting loads — the housing does not deform or creep under the weight of the unit and motor in ceiling-mount configuration.
