El WPEX is the double-stage counterpart to the single-stage WPX: X-type vertical downward output for ceiling and inverted installations, extended to ratios 1/200–1/900+ by the dual worm stage architecture. Overhead mining conveyor drives running below 5 rpm, sub-floor mechanism drives, and ceiling-mounted gravity-assist systems requiring extreme ratios use WPEX where no single-stage overhead reducer can deliver the required output speed.
