IEC motor flange at the S-type overhead position enables direct motor mounting above the dual-stage housing. IEC motor flange at the S-type overhead position enables direct motor mounting above the dual-stage housing. No adaptor plate between motor and first stage, no lateral motor projection — the most compact motorised ultra-high-ratio drive in the WPE series.

Top cover removes with motor mounted overhead and driven shaft connected. Both worm stage chambers accessible in-situ — no unit removal required for planned maintenance intervals.

WPEDS worm gear internals are identical to WPEDA. S-type IEC input direction does not reduce the dual-stage torque capacity — size 155–250 delivers up to 9,066 Nm.
