Einstufige Schneckengetriebe erreichen Übersetzungsverhältnisse bis zu 1/60. Wenn Anwendungen Übersetzungen von 1/200, 1/500 oder 1/900 erfordern – beispielsweise Solartracker, Ventilantriebe, langsam laufende Förderbänder und Positionierantriebe – ist eine zweite Schneckenstufe die technische Lösung.
